The Best of While and Matthews” Chris While & Julie Matthews
Coming close on the heels of their last release Here and Now. this compilation, and the duo's seventh album, boasts no less than 15 tracks and runs for over an hour. Compilations are always going to attract criticism because not everyone agrees which are the "best" tracks. In this case Chris and Julie selected the tracks, and one would think that they had a pretty fair idea. There isn't really a weak track on the CD but songs worthy of note are The light of my Mother's Eye. Westward, Generation Game (a song about domestic violence). Seven Years of Rust (about the decline of the steel industry). Additionally. Steady Breathing (about dealing with Cancer). Perfect Mistake. On My Way and Starting All Over Again are all strong compositions. Numerous guest musicians compliment the duo. | ||
