“Songs from the Dress Rehersal” Steve Tilston

This is a re-release of Tilston’s 1976 LP with 6 bonus tracks giving just over an hour of music. In some ways it seems a bit unfair to review a recording made nearly 30 years ago. While he was already an excellent singer and guitarist his song writing was still quite immature.

All in all this is a CD worth playing at times when you are not going to be listening too closely. If you are fairly new to Tilston as a live performer then this isn’t the place to start a collection of his recorded work. If you are an established fan then you will want this anyway.
